Doug Hauck
Doug Hauck began his career in men's clothing as a high school youth working part time for F.H.
Weatherwax Co. in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduation from Northern State College, he took his newfound passion for men's clothing to
Green Bay, Wisconsin where he became a sales associate for a well-known menswear store. After ten years
in Green Bay, Mr. Hauck moved to Denver, CO where he became a sales associate and eventually sales
manager at Denver's premiere downtown men's clothing store.
After 15 years as a top producer, Mr. Hauck earned the reputation as one of the top clothiers in the
western region. When asked why he wanted to open his own store in Historic Downtown Littleton, CO,
Mr. Hauck says "With men's stores becoming so big and impersonal, I just felt there was a need in the
Denver market for a true men's specialty store that was small enough to give personal attention to
everyone and large enough to be able to execute at every level for him. I believe we created an
environment here that makes our customers feel at home whether they are shopping or just visiting.
Bill Austin
Bill Austin joined Doug Hauck as one of the original founders of Austin/Hauck Co., Inc. in April 2001.
Mr. Austin had been shopping with Doug Hauck for nearly 15 years and developed a close friendship with
him through the clothing business and running together in long distance training and running events for
charity.
With a background in Marketing, Advertising and General Business, Mr. Austin had no formal training or
experience in the men's clothing business but decided to join Doug Hauck in the new store venture
because of his love of "the cloth" and his friendship with Mr. Hauck. Since the store opening on
Thanksgiving Day 2001, Mr. Austin has gained a great deal of knowledge about the men's clothing
business. This new experience combined with his past marketing and general business experience has
created a balance of skill sets with master clothier Doug Hauck. "This store has the
perfect mix of clothing expertise, business acumen and the commitment to customer service excellence
to make it very successful."
